Women are miraculous creatures, I am in awe sometimes of all we handle and accomplish. When a man achieves we say "good job" and good for him, he is successful. And sometimes that's all we expect of him. When a women accomplishes, she is sometimes scrutinized with questions like, "yeah, but did she keep her priorities?" and " is her family okay or is she ignoring them?". It's like to be successful as a women you have to bring home the bacon, do the cooking and cleaning and make sure your life is in order along with all of the lives around you. Who made up this silly rule anyways?
I think women who achieve are phenomenal, because you know what, most of them do all of that and more. The world can be one big set up for a perfectly co-dependant person for a women. It is okay for us to just take care of us, and make sure we are okay first, before we put the needs of anyone else before us.
I think we need to celebrate women more, make sure that they feel cherished and cared for. Make sure that we cheer each other on and that we don't question one another, when we have accomplishments. Let's celebrate the hell out of those accomplishments.
